Coronavirus update - facility closed
Following Government instructions to all fitness facilities on the issue of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are temporarily closing our centre from close of play tonight (20th March).
As soon as we are able to safely re-open, we will ensure all customers are informed via our website, e-mail and social media channels.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, members and other centre users for their patience and understanding during this difficult period.
Below is a list of typical questions you may have:
What about my membership payments?
For people who pay by Direct Debit, your payments will be frozen for the entire time we are closed.
For people who have paid in full for gym memberships, we will add on the missing months once we re-open to ensure you get your full period of membership with us.
Can I cancel?
We would hope you’ll stick with us, and with the payment freeze, you won’t be out of pocket in anyway. However, if you do choose to leave us, please follow our standard cancellation procedures. Details on our website. When we re-open again, we would love to welcome you back.
Any tips on staying active during this down-time?
Good question, and you’ve asked the right people, but we thought we’d go to the top and ask our head of health and fitness, Paul Street for his top tips on staying active if you’re at home, or not able to attend the gym. It goes without saying, that if you are feeling unwell in any way, please think carefully before exerting yourself.
Over to Paul.
My first tip is simply to keep as active as you can while you’re away from the club. Staying active will help your physical health, of course, but also help you mentally cope with the challenges we’re all facing due to the virus. Whatever you can do to keep on the move in some way is going to help.
Second tip is a bit more specific. Take advantage of our LES MILLS™ On Demand offer, which gives you hundreds of great fitness classes, led by LES MILLS™ top trainers, all from the comfort of your own home. All users of our facilities can get 30 days for free.
There is also some fantastic information and support from Sport England.
We have not been given a timeline for re-opening, but please rest assured, this will pass and when it does, we’ll be back and ready to welcome you through our doors again.
In the meantime, stay safe, stay as active as you safely can, follow all government guidelines on modes of behaviour during this period and we’ll see you, when we see you.
Some employees will be working over the closure period, so if you do have any questions not covered by the information here, please do not hesitate to get in touch using the online form.
